The MAX642ACSA+ is a fixed output 10W CMOS step-up switching regulator in 8 pin NSOIC package. This regulator is preset to +12V output voltage however can be set to other levels by adding 2 resistors. Device is designed for minimum component DC-DC converter circuit in 5mW to 10mW range. It is used in uninterruptible board level power supplies, power conditioning for battery systems and portable instruments and communication.
- Operating voltage range from 2V to 16.5V
- Oscillator frequency is 50KHz at Vout = +12V
- Oscillator duty cycle is 50%
- Supply current of 0.5mA at Vout = +12V
- Internal reference voltage of 1.31V at TA= +25°C
- Typical efficiency of 80% (with external MOSFET)
- Line regulation of 0.08%Vout, operating temperature range from 0°C to 70°C
- Load regulation of 0.2%Vout
- On-chip driver for high power external MOSFET
